DZX Medical Announces Docentiatm DVD Product Release Availability

Docentia DVD Expected to fuel record deployment rate by end of 2008
INDIANAPOLIS - January 1, 2008 - Today, DZX Medical, LLC announced availability of the DZX Medical Docentiatm DVD Product Release, enabling physicians to deploy advanced education options for patients undergoing Adenoidectomy, Tonsillectomy, Myringotomy and Ear Tube placement. DZX also announced that one year after availability of Docentia Web, Docentia DVD was deployed with updated animations embedded with customized information for surgery centers, physicians and pharmaceutical companies. To broaden the accessibility of the web-based Docentia education strategy and to improve usability in some markets Docentia DVD was created. Spurred by new goals to reach a larger patient demographic, Docentia DVD was developed for health care providers in more rural areas and those treating patients without high-speed access to the Internet. High-speed Internet accessibility in physician offices and the prevalence of DVD players in the American home also drove the creation of a more accessible format.

The Docentia DVD product line is a collection of individual animations focusing on DZX Medical’s commitment to deliver the latest product updates in the most accessible format. The first release of this line of products focuses on ENT procedures, soon to be followed by Cosmetic procedures. Each DVD contains 1 - 2 video animations depicting the procedure accompanied by an explanatory narration. Each video ends with a list of common risks associated with the procedure and basic instructions for pre- and post-operative steps for the patient. Additional information may also be included in DVD’s.
